About the event

Formed from the rich musical traditions  of vocalist Méabh’s Irish homeland, the  Méabh Begley Trio (aka The Weaving)  brings us fierce dance music and raw  harmonies from their home region of  Corca Dhuibhne, in southern Ireland. 

Learned around kitchen tables and in  pubs, their musical expression springs  from the Irish Gaelic speaking areas of  West Kerry, influenced by the rugged landscape and a deep  understanding of the Irish language. 

Méabh performs globally with groups such as acclaimed Irish  band Téada and The Pure Irish Drops.  

Line up: Méabh Begley (The Sibin Orchestra) on button accordion,  Owen Spafford on fiddle and Cáit Ní Riain on piano.

Support act Faith Swindell is an acoustic singer songwriter from Holmfirth.
